It works. Once in a while it doesn’t work, but overall it works. And I have no idea why one day a year it doesn’t work. Maybe it’s stink day or something.

It’s great because you can use your own scent (I use Armani Code By Giorgio Armani For Men. Eau De Toilette Spray 2.5 Ounces or BVLGARI BLV (Bulgari) by Bvlgari)rather than smelling like Right Guard or Old Spice all day.

This product does have alum in it, which is a form of aluminum, in this case “Ammonium aluminium sulfate, also known as ammonium alum is a white crystalline double sulfate usually encountered as the dodecahydrate, formula (NH4)Al(SO4)2ยท12H2O. It is used in small amounts in a variety of niche applications. The dodecahydrate occurs naturally as the rare mineral tschermigite.” (From Wikipedia) – Crystal addresses this in their FAQ:

The service was good, I got the item very fast and I like it. However, the case broke and I have had it maybe a month. Too bad they can make a good product but not put it in a decent case. It doesn’t really matter though as you can use the product without a case.

I have to say I was somewhat skeptical when I placed my order. I have rotated several antiperspirant/deorderants for years & that had even gotten questionable. I had used both mens and womens brands but kept getting the same result after a period of time. This product really works & it’s lacking the harmful chemicals of the many brands I have bought over the years. I no longer have to wash and reapply midway through the day :)

I’ve been using this product for years. Each time I buy it, the product lasts for 2 years or so… so long that the place that I bought it last time often does not carry it anymore. I’m thrilled to find it on Amazon. I tried a more traditional deodorant or two in the interim, and it just made me want this back.

Why do I like it? First of all, it works. On occasional days when I forget to use it, I find out. My wife really doesn’t like body odor, and this passes her test. Some reviewers have said it doesn’t work for them, I don’t know how that could be, but maybe it varies from person to person. It definitely works for me.

Second, it has NO scent. I personally really dislike anything scented on my person, I don’t care if it smells feminine, masculine, or anything else. Even if it’s a pleasant scent, I still don’t want it on me all day. This product really has no scent. My nose can always tell if I’ve used a traditional unscented deodorant instead of this one.

Finally, although it’ll be the most expensive product on the deodorant shelf if you see it, it lasts SO long that it’s got to be the cheapest one if you consider cost-per-use or whatever. It definitely does wear down. it gets smaller and smaller. It eventually falls out of its dispenser, but is still usable. Be careful not to drop it, it will shatter on your bathroom floor. But, without that, it will last years.

I don’t know why this product gets such great reviews. I bought it because everyone raved about it, and I found it to be a waste of money. I followed the directions, and I even rubbed it on until it was dry, then went back for round 2. In an hour I’d already smell like armpits, and I’m not an overly smelly person. This stick feels like nothing is going on, because nothing is going on. It doesn’t work at all.
