We love our Diaper Champ! The airlock system works great and keeps odors away. Easy to replace standard garbage bags.

There is nothing “deluxe” about it compared to the older version we had in 2003. Product arrived in a brown box…with no manual, no padding, no plastic wrap, nothing. Seemed as though it was taken from a nursery and placed in a box. Very disappointing packaging from Amazon. The kicker was that the product was broken and would operate. When trying to flip the handle (which is what drops the diaper in the pail) the top would not fully rotate. It was warped. We must have been sent a product that was returned by another customer. We ordered the new munchkin pail because this one was such a disappointment and we love it.

PROBLEM #1:
It doesn’t completely hold in diaper odors. Every time you open the lid, you get a whiff of all the diapers that have been stewing in the container.
PROBLEM #2:
The bags are cumbersome to insert & replace.
PROBLEM #3:
The flip handle will jam once half of the container is filled so you have to constantly open the container to unjam the handle or replace w/a new bag.

This diaper champ is horrible. We finally decided to get a pail, our friends had the diaper champ 4100 and love it so I bought a diaper champ but the deluxe is much different than the 4100. This one stinks every time you open it to put a diaper in. And it stinks bad! Way worse than a trashcan with a lid, even after a couple of hours. My son is one and has big diapers. This pail can not handle it.
