My son doesn’t like to be given drops from a dropper, so I have to feed them to him in a bottle. I breastfeed, so its a little bit of a hassle to pump and make a bottle. But its only once a day and it ensures he’s getting all the vitamins he needs. He never noticed a flavor difference.

I’ll start by saying that I haven’t tried any other kind of vitamin D drops for my breastfed baby – we haven’t had any problems with these. The dose does seem quite large but she loves it. It does stain clothes so keep a wipe or wet rag handy to wipe up any spills. I give it to her when I’m getting her into pajamas at night so I don’t have to worry about it.

I have not had a problem with my baby taking these drops. She seems to enjoy them.

My pediatrician gave me a free sample of the enfamil drops to supplement my breastfed baby. A dose doesn’t look like much in the dropper, until you try to give it to the baby and it ends up all over her face and clothes because she spits every last drop of it out. Look for the Carlson Baby Ddrops- a full dose of vitamin D is literally one drop, which she takes with no problem, and the tiny bottle is a year supply. Don’t waste your money supporting the formula companies for an inferior product.

My baby is breastfed, and starting from 1 month onward, my pediatrician recommended my baby take 1 ml of these drops daily. Apparently breastfed babies don’t get enough vitamin D, and the only other way to get vitamin D is to have direct sun exposure to unprotected skin (on a tiny baby, no thank you). These drops smell like cherry or vanilla flavoring, and my baby has loved drinking his “yummy yummy juicy” as we sing to him as he takes his D Vi Sol every day. The bottle is expensive, but it is worth it.
